Movement has started to be made on the future of Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic, with the player's agent jetting into London for talks with Arsenal and Chelsea.

Mandzukic's starting spot at Bayern Munich is under threat due to the club's capture of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, who will arrive in the summer once his contract with Jurgen Klopp's men expires.

Bayern Munich have made positive noises about keeping hold of the Croatian, CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge remarking: "Mandzukic has a contract until 2016, but I have told him he could extend it here."

But the former Wolfsburg hitman is thought to be concerned that his playing time will suffer from Lewandowski's signing.

And so escape routes are being considered.

According to Sky Italia, Mandzukic's representative Ivan Cvjetkovic has jetted into London for talks with two of England's biggest clubs.

Those clubs are Arsenal and Chelsea, two sides who have long been linked with the Croatian striker and are firm fans of his abilities.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are also in the market for another striker and Mandzukic could fit the bill.

The 27-year-old has made 23 appearances for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga so far this season, hitting the back of the net on an impressive 17 occasions.
