Celtic full-back Darnell Fisher is looking forward to playing in the Champions League next season after the Hoops secured another Scottish Premiership title this season.
This has been a breakthrough season for the Englishman after he got an extended run in Celtic’s first team when both Adam Matthews and Mikael Lustig suffered injuries, allowing Fisher to make 13 appearances so far this season.
Fisher is happy to get his first league winner’s medal with Celtic and has received encouraging words from Neil Lennon, the Celtic manager, for his performances on the pitch.
“We’re champions and that’s what counts. The manager has spoken to me about my season and a few of the older boys have said some nice things so I think I’ve done well so far but I want that to continue”, the Englishman told the club’s official site.

“I’ve got to look at it as where I want to be. I want to play football at the highest level and obviously the UEFA Champions League is where I want to be.
“I didn’t think this season I’d play this much and that sets me a target to continue that next season.”
The last time Celtic made the European Cup final was in 1970 when they were beaten by Feyenoord 2-1 in extra time when Ova Kindvall scored the winner in the 117th minute.
