Real Madrid appear to be making a push to sign winger Juan Iturbe, who has attracted much interest over the course of the season, not least from Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Iturbe is currently on a season-long loan at Italian side Hellas Verona from FC Porto, with the Serie A outfit looking to activate their permanent purchase option.
But given the calibre of clubs to have been linked with 20-year-old, Verona will have pulled off a coup if Iturbe begins the 2014/15 campaign at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.
AC Milan, Juventus, Inter, Roma and Zenit St. Petersburg are all keen on the Argentina, while Liverpool head up the English contingent.

But Real Madrid are barging to the front of the queue after Los Blancos' president Florentino Perez held a meeting with Iturbe's agent Gustavo Mascardi recently, according to Sky Italia.
If the Spanish giants speed up their pursuit of Iturbe they may well bag his signature before any of their rivals have had time to put a counter proposal to the winger.
The 20-year-old, who also holds a Paraguayan passport, has made 30 appearances in Serie A for Verona so far this term, scoring six goals and providing five assists.
