Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Cagliari defender Davide Astori as a potential summer arrival.
Astori has impressed with the Sardinian club this term, even attracting David Moyes to make a personal check on his form, when the Scot was employed as Manchester United manager.
Now, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Tottenham are firm fans of Astori, a player who could well be sold by Cagliari this summer as they look to shake up their squad.
Indeed, following a disappointing campaign in Serie A, which cost coach Diego Lopez his job, the Rossoblu are considering wide-ranging changes and Astori may be sacrificed.
The 27-year-old landed at Cagliari in 2008 from AC Milan, where he had struggled to break into the first team, despite being developed in the club's youth ranks.
Astori has won caps for Italy at senior international level, collecting seven since his debut in 2011.
