Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are amongst a number of teams to have lodged enquiries with the agent of Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan.

The Argentina international is expected to be on the move from the Estadio da Luz in the summer transfer window, if Benfica receive an acceptable offer.

Gaitan has been linked with Liverpool, however, there are four clubs who have been in contact with the player's agent Jose Irribarren, according to Portuguese daily Record, and the Reds are not amongst the group.

They are Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco and Inter.

Benfica are moving to sell Gaitan for the right price, feeling they have sufficient cover to manage his departure.

The 26-year-old has made 26 appearances in the Portuguese Primeira Liga this term, helping Benfica to capture the title.

He hit the back of the net on four occasions and provided five assists.
