Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri has admitted that he believes the club's old coach Jupp Heynckes had more faith in him than he currently enjoys from Pep Guardiola.
Shaqiri has been strongly linked with an exit from the Allianz Arena, Liverpool leading the queue, and recently warned that he is not prepared to spend another season missing out on big games to just play run-of-the-mill Bundesliga clashes.
And the 22-year-old, who made 17 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, believes things were different under Heynckes last term.
"I felt Heynckes had more faith in me", he explained to Swiss outlet 20 Minuten.

"But maybe that is also because Guardiola talks to us less", Shaqiri added.
Nevertheless, the Switzerland international does believe he has become a better player since his move to Bayern Munich from Basel in 2012.
"I have gained more experience and I have improved in a sporting sense as well.
"I have got better", he concluded.
