Ronald Koeman's agent has talked up his client's suitability for the vacant job at English Premier League side Southampton.
The Saints are searching for a new manager following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino to Tottenham Hotspur, and Koeman is understood to be on a shortlist along with current FC Basel boss Murat Yakin.
Southampton have made clear that they want their new boss to have thorough technical and tactical knowledge and Koeman's agent Guido Albers is sure his client fits the bill.
"Ronald has that knowledge", Albers told De Telegraaf.

"He wants to get started in the Premier League.
"His team score a lot of goals, that was proven this season.
"No team scored more goals in the Eredivisie."
Koeman, who departed Feyenoord at the end of the season, led the Rotterdam side to second in the Eredivisie, scoring 76 goals in 34 games.
