Bayern Munich are preparing to enter the race for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, but face stiff competition from Manchester United for the Chilean's signature.
The German giants tried to snap up Vidal during his time at Bayer Leverkusen, but saw the player opt for a move to Juventus instead.
Juventus are thought to be open to selling Vidal this summer for the right price and the player is believed to have expressed his preference for a move to Manchester United, where he is admired by manager Louis van Gaal.
According to Italian daily Tuttosport, Bayern Munich are prepared to pay €40m to sign Vidal, as they attempt to take him to the Allianz Arena.
The Bundesliga champions may even be prepared to throw winger Xherdan Shaqiri into their bid for Vidal, a player Juventus are known to admire.
