Juventus are still waiting for Manchester United to make an official approach for midfielder Arturo Vidal, with the Red Devils not having taken advantage of a recent opportunity to do just that.

The English giants have been in talks with Juventus over the sale of Patrice Evra, and the Italian champions were expecting that Vidal would have been brought up.

Manchester United are known to be keen on the Chile international, a player the club's new coach Louis van Gaal has admitted he tried to sign during his time in charge of Bayern Munich.

According to Sky Italia however, the anticipated talks for Vidal did not materialise, with Manchester United not bringing up a potential transfer.

Indeed, Manchester United appear to be biding their time to make a move for Vidal, with the Red Devils potentially waiting for Van Gaal to formally take over when he finishes his duties with the Netherlands at the World Cup.
