West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City target Jordan Ayew has joined FC Lorient from their Ligue 1 rivals Marseille.
The Ghana international, who had several offers to move away from France, decided to prolong his stay in the country after signing a four-year deal with Les Merlus.
And Ayew insisted that he was delighted to join Lorient and further revealed his intention to help the Stade du Moustoir outfit better their eighth-placed league finish from last term.
"It was not a difficult choice because this is a fantastic and progressive club", he told the club's site.
"The club is ambitious and they have a great structure.

"This is the perfect place for me, and I am really looking forward to joining the squad and continue in this competitive championship [Ligue 1].
"All I want to do is give my best to the club and hopefully it will be a successful time for everyone associated with the team."
Ayew spent the latter part of the 2013/14 campaign on loan at Sochaux, but could not help the club avoid the drop from Ligue 1, despite scoring five goals in 17 appearances for Les Lionceaux.
The 22-year-old, who also has 17 caps and five goals for Ghana to his name, represented his nation at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
