Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier has saluted Ricky van Wolfswinkel's quality, as Les Verts close the transfer net around the Norwich striker.
Van Wolfswinkel is in France to complete a season-long loan move to Saint-Etienne, in a deal which will also give the Ligue 1 side the right to sign him permanently for €6m should he impress.
And Galtier revealed that he first noted the Dutchman's talent two years ago, keeping it in mind when he became available this summer.
"He played against us in a friendly, two years ago", the coach told L'Equipe.
"He hurt us and we all noticed his quality.
