Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has revealed he was surprised to see Leeds United play such a direct brand of football against his team at Elland Road yesterday.
Blues took the lead early on in the Championship clash, but could not hold on for all three points and conceded four minutes from time for the match to end 1-1.
Leeds boss Neil Redfearn played Steve Morison up front as a target man and Rowett concedes he did not expect such a direct approach from the Whites.
"It was quite unusual to see a Leeds side being so direct", he told his club's site.

"They had Morison up there and hit him on the diagonal at all times and all opportunities."
And Rowett admits Leeds' approach forced him to shake up his side to introduce more height with his substitutions.
"I think when people do that it is very hard to get out and you have choices in the game.
"We ended up changing it and trying to make the team a little bit bigger [by bringing on David Edgar, Lee Novak and Nikola Zigic]."
