Jurgen Klopp admits that he has held talks with Ilkay Gundogan about his situation at Borussia Dortmund, but denies having advised the midfielder to leave the club.
Gundogan, who has been strongly linked with both Arsenal and Manchester United, has told Dortmund that he will not extend his contract, which expires in the summer of 2016.
The midfielder has also informed the Bundesliga side that he would like to move on this summer.
Klopp is also departing Dortmund this summer, but is at pains to stress that he has not influenced Gundogan's decision, even though he has held talks with the player.
Klopp told a press conference today: "I have spoken to him about the situation.
