Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for Benfica winger and Manchester United target Nicolas Gaitan as a replacement for Arda Turan, in case the Turk leaves, according to Madrid-based daily Marca.
Turan appears heading towards the exit gate at the Vicente Calderon after acknowledging that he is in touch with several European giants over a possible move this summer.
Barcelona reportedly had negotiations with the midfielder yesterday with a view to prising him away to the Camp Nou this summer.
In the given circumstances, Los Rojiblancos have reached an agreement with Benfica for the Argentine as a replacement for Turan.
Gaitan signed a new contract with Benfica last year and his existing contract with the Portuguese giants lasts until the summer of 2018.
