Aston Villa have released striker Nicklas Helenius, who has instantly penned a two-year contract with Danish club AaB.
Helenius joined Aston Villa from AaB in the summer of 2013, but struggled to command a spot in the Premier League club's first team and was loaned back to AaB last summer.
He had a further year to run on his contract with Aston Villa, but has agreed to a termination in order to sign up with AaB.
Helenius is delighted to be back at his former club on a permanent basis and is relishing the opportunity to make his mark in the Danish Superliga next season.
"I have set myself a series of targets for the season, with the overall objective of finishing as high as possible in the table with AaB", Helenius told the Danish club's official site.
