Former Manchester United manager David Moyes wants Liverpool forward Fabio Borini at Real Sociedad.

The Italian is tipped to leave Liverpool this summer after falling out of favour under boss Brendan Rodgers.

Clubs from Italy have been making the running to snap up Borini, with Lazio leading the charge to sign the former Roma star.

But Borini now has an option in Spain's La Liga, according to Madrid-based daily Marca.

Real Sociedad have opened talks over signing Borini as Moyes looks to add the Liverpool forward to his ranks for next season.

Borini spent the 2013/14 season on loan at Sunderland, but then rejected the chance to join the Black Cats on a permanent basis last summer, despite the club agreeing a fee with Liverpool.

He also knocked back an approach from QPR in order to fight for a spot in the starting eleven at Anfield.

But Borini saw Rodgers regularly prefer other options last term.
