Leeds United legend Tony Yeboah has expressed his delight on being appointed an official ambassador of the Leeds United Foundation, the official charity of the Elland Road outfit.

Yeboah plied his trade for the Whites from 1995 until 1997 and made a name for himself with thunderous strikes. The forward went on to notch 32 goals from his 66 appearances for the side and his goal against Wimbledon in 1995 was voted the greatest ever Premier League goal.

The 49-year-old has now been made an official ambassador for the club’s official charity, and he is delighted to have been given the responsibility.

"Leeds United is a club very dear to my heart and I am delighted to become an Ambassador for the club's very own Foundation”, he was quoted as saying by the Leeds website.

Yeboah is looking forward to representing Leeds United across the world in his new official capacity, saying that he will do all he can to give back to the club.
