Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is considering a move for Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli in the new year as he spots a potential bargain option for the Red Devils, but could face opposition from Tottenham Hotspur and Inter.

Van Gaal is desperate to add more pace to his Manchester United squad and has zeroed in on the Algeria international as an option.

According to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, the Red Devils boss is attracted to the idea of the 25-year-old signing a pre-contract in January, as his present deal expires in the summer of 2016.

But so too are Tottenham and Inter, while Roma are also sniffing around Feghouli.

Valencia, who Feghouli currently plies his trade for, are hopeful of convincing the winger to put pen to paper on a fresh deal, but every day that he resists sees speculation build.

Feghouli is claimed to be looking for a salary of €2.5m per year from Valencia, but so far Los Che have only gone as high as €2m.

The Algerian could be attracted by the idea of heading to link up with Van Gaal at Old Trafford, while Tottenham and Inter are also potential destinations which are sure to tempt Feghouli.
