Rangers manager Mark Warburton is not convinced his side did enough to warrant beating Livingston earlier today after they played out a 1-1 draw at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

The Gers went into the lead in the Scottish Championship fixture on the 22-minute mark when Jason Holt collected a loose ball and slid a low shot beyond goalkeeper Marc McCallum.

Rangers dominated possession, but could not add to their lead and paid the price in the 51st minute when Miles Hippolyte hit a shot from outside the box which beat Gers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

Warburton's men tried to take the lead again, but Livinston held firm and the Englishman was left with the feeling after the final whistle that despite his side's dominance in possession, they did not deserve all three points.

Speaking to Rangers TV, Warburton said: "I didn’t think we showed real quality in the second half. We huffed and puffed a bit, but didn’t really create enough clear cut chances.

"So first half was good, we started off really well and got the goal. We needed to come out and be really dominant and they scored and we were scrappy, a bit loose in possession.

"Yes, we had lots of the ball but didn’t really hurt them enough as we should have done.

"We had a few chances, of course we did, and we had a lot of the ball but were we clinical enough? Maybe not. Did we show enough quality in the final third, enough guile? I don’t think we did today", Warburton added.

Rangers' draw combined with Hibernian's victory away at Alloa means that Alan Stubbs' men have now drawn level on points with Warburton's side at the top of the Scottish Championship table.

The Gers do still have a game in hand on Hibernian though.
