Former Leeds United head coach Neil Redfearn has hit out at Whites owner Massimo Cellino, calling him childish and advising the Italian to grow up.

Redfearn, now manager of Rotherham United, returned to Elland Road on Saturday to lock horns with Leeds in a Championship fixture.

The ex-Whites boss led his side to a 1-0 win, claiming all three points, but was left sore by Cellino's treatment of him, with the Leeds owner refusing to grant him a car parking pass; the pair fell out at the end of last season and Cellino did not renew Redfearn's contract as head coach.

"Yes [Cellino refused me a car parking pass]. It’s very childish and he needs to grow up", Redfearn told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Rotherham boss was asked where he parked and shot back: "Batley. I’m getting the bus back. But I managed to get a space somewhere else.

"I learnt it yesterday, but what happened is [fitness coach] Paul Warne drove my car in and parked it under his name so they’re not that clever are they?" he joked.

On the pitch Redfearn saw his Rotherham side run out 1-0 winners at Elland Road, a result which halts Leeds' winning streak in the Championship and also moves the Millers off the bottom of the table.

The game also saw Leeds head coach Steve Evans go up against the club he managed until September this year; Evans was succeeded in the dugout at Rotherham by Redfearn.
