Fabrizio Ravanelli wants to take over as Middlesbrough manager in the summer, it has been claimed.
Boro had their relegation from the Premier League confirmed on Monday night with a comprehensive defeat away at Chelsea and now thoughts are increasing turning to life in the Championship.
Ravanelli, who turned out for Middlesbrough from 1996 until 1997, with great success, is keen to take the reins at the Riverside Stadium, ex-Boro striker Jan Aage Fjortoft has claimed.
Fjortoft, who was at Boro with Ravanelli, wrote on Twitter: "By the way: Ravanelli definitely wants the Boro job.
"A very good source called Rav, told me that", the Norwegian added.

Ravanelli is largely unproven in management and has one senior job to his name, with a spell at French outfit AC Ajaccio in 2013.
He was sacked by Ajaccio after lasting just five months in the job, leaving the club sitting second from bottom in the Ligue 1 standings.
The 48-year-old worked with Juventus' youth teams before taking the job at Ajaccio.
