Daniel Sturridge has pushed the ball into Liverpool’s court over his future at the club and claims that he is feeling happy at Anfield.

The 27-year-old striker has not been a regular starter under Jurgen Klopp, even when he has been available and fit to play, and there are suggestions that he doesn’t suit the German’s system at Anfield.

There have been murmurs that Sturridge is prepared to leave Liverpool in the summer for regular football ahead of next year’s World Cup and West Ham are speculated to be interested in signing him.

The striker has put the onus on Liverpool on whether he will be at Anfield next season or not and stressed that he is ready to do his job on the pitch whenever required.

Sturridge also added that he feels happy at Liverpool for the moment.

Asked whether he will be at Anfield next season, Sturridge told Sky Sports: "That is for the club to decide, for myself I am enjoying my football.

“My job is to go on the pitch and put my best foot forward.

"There is nothing to discuss really.

“I have two years left on my deal and I am happy here."

Sturridge has netted just three goals in the league this season, but has also made just six Premier League appearances in the starting eleven.
