Sporting Lisbon are willing to let Tottenham Hotspur target Adrien Silva depart for less than his €45m release clause.
Spurs are keen on the Portuguese midfielder, but their proposal of €20m has not impressed Sporting Lisbon president Bruno de Carvalho, who feels it is not sufficient.
The president is willing to be flexible though, according to Portuguese sports daily Record, and will take €30m from the Premier League club, if they are willing to increase their offer.
Sporting Lisbon have already reinforced their midfield this summer and as such are ready to let the club captain depart for the right price.
Silva is currently in action with Portugal at the Confederations Cup this summer and if an agreement can be found with Spurs he might not return to Sporting Lisbon.
