Inter Milan made fresh contact with Liverpool on Thursday night to discuss the possibility of signing Daniel Sturridge this month.

The England striker has been a bit part player under Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are prepared to let him go during the winter transfer window.

He has been linked with a move to Italy, with Inter currently doing all the running in order to prepare the groundwork for Sturridge’s possible arrival at the San Siro this month.

Liverpool have already agreed to lower their financial demand in order facilitate the deal and according to Italian outlet FcInterNews, the two clubs were in contact again on Thursday night to discuss the terms of a deal.

It has been claimed that the clubs have reached an agreement over the details of the deal and Liverpool have agreed to loan him out with an option to buy at a later date.

However, the deal still hinges on Inter’s ability to shift out Eder, who is on Crystal Palace’s radar. The Nerazzurri have already rejected a loan offer for the Brazilian from the London club.

A move to Selhurst Park is still possible, but Eder must agreed to it, while Inter want a permanent sale.

And Inter are unlikely to pull the trigger on the Sturridge deal until they can get Eder off the books.
