Lille have rejected an offer from West Ham for defensive midfielder Ibrahim Amadou, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

Crystal Palace recently got in touch with Lille for the midfielder as well but the Ligue 1 club rejected a £2m loan offer from the London club for Amadou.

The French outfit are in dire need of money to balance their books before the end of the day and they are prepared to listen to offers for the player on deadline day.

West Ham also probed the possibility of signing the midfielder in the last few days and it has been claimed that they have even placed an offer on Lille’s table for his signature.

However, Lille have rejected the bid from West Ham. The Hammers’ offer of an initial loan deal for a fee worth little over €2m and another €16m for an option to buy him was deemed not acceptable by the French club.
