Yohan Cabaye is prepared to sign a new contract with Crystal Palace and his representatives will meet the club next week to discuss terms.

The 32-year-old French midfielder’s current deal expires at the end of the season, but he has been insisting that he is happy at the club after playing a key role in helping the Eagles survive in the Premier League.




Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is also keen to keep the experienced midfielder in his squad and it has been claimed that there is a willingness on the player’s part to continue at the south London club.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Cabaye is prepared to continue at Crystal Palace and his representatives will be meeting the club hierarchy next week to discuss fresh terms.
 


The midfielder’s entourage are hopeful that a new deal will be struck as soon as possible and the Frenchman will extend his three-year stay at Selhurst Park beyond the summer.

Joining Crystal Palace from Paris Saint-Germain in 2015, Cabaye has racked up 109 appearances for the club and has also netted ten goals.

The midfielder also turned in 31 appearances for Crystal Palace in the Premier League this season and played a key role in them avoiding relegation to the Championship.
