Greek top flight side PAOK Salonkia could be forced to cash in on Leeds United linked striker Aleksandar Prijovic to fund the purchase of defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

The centre-back is currently on the books at German outfit Hamburg, but their relegation from the Bundesliga means he can move on for a fee of €6.5m.

PAOK, who finished second in the Greek Superleague this season, are desperate to take Papadopoulos back to his homeland.

But, according to German outlet Fussball Transfers, PAOK are facing the need to sell striker Prijovic to help fund the swoop.

The striker was linked with a number of clubs, including Leeds, in the January transfer window, but PAOK managed to keep hold of him.

He netted 27 goals across 39 games in all competitions for PAOK, helping the club win the Greek Cup, and is under contract until the summer of 2022.

However, if PAOK need cash to raise Hamburg for former Olympiacos man Papadopoulos, then signalling their willingness to sell the Serbia international could be the answer.

It remains to be seen if Leeds will make a move for the prolific hitman if he does become available.
