Crystal Palace are yet to get a deal over the line for the signature of Germany international midfielder Max Meyer, it has been claimed.
Meyer is available on a free transfer this summer after he refused to sign a new contract with Schalke at the end of last season and left the club amidst rumblings of discord between him and the Bundesliga outfit.
The midfielder’s agent has been in talks with a few clubs over the last couple of months to find a new home for his client and it seems he could be on his way to England.
Crystal Palace have been in negotiations to sign the Germany international and there are suggestions that he underwent a medical with the club ahead of a move to Selhurst Park.
There are claims that he could sign a contract with the London club today but according to Sky Deutschland, that is far from reality at the moment.
It has been suggested that Crystal Palace and Meyer are still in negotiations and are yet to finalise an agreement that would allow him to join the Premier League outfit this summer.
The Eagles are confident of getting a deal over the line with Meyer but for the moment he is still a bit away from signing a contract with the club.
The 22-year-old midfielder has four international caps for Germany to his name.
