Former Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko has revealed a pre-match bite to eat after returning to Glasgow ahead of the Hoops clash against Dundee.

Sviatchenko left the Hoops in the summer to join Midtjylland and has been a regular for the Danish side this season, having made 14 appearances in the Danish Superligaen.

The 27-year old appeared 63 times for Celtic after joining the club in January 2016 from the same club, but returned to the club in the last transfer window.

The defender’s exit split opinion amongst some Celtic fans, with a number feeling that Sviatchenko could have offered Brendan Rodgers a good option.

Sviatchenko still follows his former club and was thrilled to return to Glasgow and have a meal at Coias Cafe, which is not far away from Celtic Park.

He took delight in posting a meal of pie, chips and peas, and dubbing it typical pre-match grub.
