New Leeds United signing Kiko Casilla believes that the best way he can help the team is by staying natural and calm, which he believes is the ideal trait of a good goalkeeper.
The Whites confirmed the signing of the 32-year-old goalkeeper on Thursday, snapping him on a free transfer by meeting the terms of the 18 months he had left on his contract with Real Madrid.
Casilla, a product of Real Madrid's youth academy, rejoined the club in 2015 and made 43 appearances for Los Blancos.
Leeds will be hopeful that Casilla can bring the benefit of his experience to bear in the Championship and he is expected to become the club's number 1.
While the Spaniard insists that his experience can be useful, he also took time to insist that he will follow his instinct for being natural and stay calm.
"I want to try and help my team with my experience, but always being natural and humble", Casilla told his new club's official channel.
"It is true I can help the team with these kind of things, but it can happen by being natural.
"I like the goalkeepers who stay calm, for me this is the best trait for a goalkeeper to stay calm and this is important in my way of play."
Casilla has put pen-to-paper to a four-and-a-half year contract at Leeds.
