Celtic and Rangers are both showing interest in signing Nottingham Forest centre-back Scott McKenna, according to talkSPORT.

The 27-year-old former Aberdeen star joined Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2020 and has made over 100 outings for the Premier League outfit.

McKenna played a crucial role in helping the Tricky Trees get back in the Premier League in the 2021/22 season.

This season, despite starting as the first-choice centre-back in the starting line-up, McKenna has lost his place and fallen down  the pecking order.

However, he could have an option to return to Scotland this month as Glasgow pair Celtic and Rangers are both interested.

Brenden Rodgers is determined to add to his squad in the January transfer window and the Nottingham Forest man is on his list.

And centre-back is a position where Rangers are also keen on improving and Philippe Clement has McKenna in mind.

Nottingham Forest are looking to offload him during this month’s transfer window, but McKenna could have other options to pick from beyond Celtic and Rangers.
