Napoli will keep their efforts to beat Tottenham Hotspur to Radu Dragusin alive for the next 48 hours.

The Italian giants have been working to try to sign the Genoa centre-back, but have fallen decisively behind Tottenham in the race.

Spurs are now moving to put the finishing touches to the deal, which will also see Djed Spence head the other way on loan.

Napoli are aware they have only a small chance of now signing Dragusin but, according to Italian broadcaster RAI Sport (via Calcio Napoli 24), they will keep going for 48 hours.

The Serie A side are aware that Dragusin favours Tottenham, but are not prepared to give up yet and are continuing their efforts.

After 48 hours, Napoli will be forced to give up on Dragusin and look at alternatives.

Bayern Munich have also shown interest in the Romania international, but have not put a bid in and time is running out for the Bavarians too.

Dragusin is claimed to only be willing to consider Bayern Munich if they put a formal bid in with Genoa today.
