Fenerbahce will not let Everton target Michy Batshuayi leave unless they are offered a substantial transfer fee this month.

Despite a ten-point deduction, Everton have managed to get out of the relegation zone and are in 17th place in the Premier League table.

Everton boss Sean Dyche wants to strengthen his squad in the ongoing window and signing a forward is on his agenda.

The Toffees are claimed to have identified Fenerbahce star Batshuayi, who has experience playing in the Premier League, as an ideal target.

Bathshuayi’s contract is set to expire at the end of June and it has been speculated that Everton could land him on favourable terms.

However, according to Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu, Fenerbahce want Batshuayi to stay at the club until the summer and will not sanction his early exit unless they receive a substantial fee.

The Belgian has scored nine goals in 22 outings for Fenerbahce this season and the club are loathe to lose him.

And that is despite the fact he has only made 12 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig, with other options preferred.

Now it remains to be seen whether Everton are willing to pursue a deal for Batshuayi on Fenerbache’s terms, especially as they are watching their finances closely.
