Rangers boss Philippe Clement has admitted he is expecting the Gers to make more signings during this month’s transfer window.

Clement has already added to his squad this month by bringing in Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves, while Sam Lammers has been shipped out on a temporary stint to FC Utrecht.

Rangers continue to be linked with a host of players, including a left-back, where there are continued question marks over Ridvan Yilmaz.

Clement is looking to do business and crucially, he is expecting to do so, despite admitting to January being a tough month in which to make additions.

“Everyone is working hard for that, to find the right players who can add something extra to the squad. January is always a difficult period in that regard, but everyone in the club is working hard to bring players here“, he told reporters at Rangers’ warm-weather camp.

“I expect [signings this month] and everybody expects and everybody is working really hard for that.”

Rangers are expected to try to back Clement to put up a real challenge to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership over the course of the second half of the season.

The Gers are due to return to competitive action later this month when they take on Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup, followed by a Scottish Premiership visit to Hibernian.
