Napoli have an agreement on personal terms with Nottingham Forest midfielder Orel Mangala, but the Tricky Trees are resisting his departure.

Mangala played on Saturday in Nottingham Forest’s 3-2 loss at Brentford in the Premier League.

Throughout the winter transfer window however there has been speculation about the Belgian’s future amid interest from clubs in Italy and France.

Now one of his suitors, Napoli, have taken a major step forward by agreeing personal terms with Mangala, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

However, it is suggested that Nottingham Forest are making the deal a very difficult one for Napoli to do as they do not want to lose Mangala.

Nottingham Forest are keen to balance the books due to financial fair play concerns, but they do not want to lose Mangala.

Napoli though will hope with a personal term agreement they can push the deal forward, however Forest are making things tough.

Mangala was snapped up by Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2022 and they did not plan to lose him this month.
