Sevilla boss Quique Sanchez Flores has heaped praise on Tottenham Hotspur loanee Alejo Veliz, who he feels is tremendously hungry following his recovery from a knee injury.

The 20-year-old, who signed for the La Liga side on the final day of the January transfer window, missed the first two matches but was back in the squad for their match against Valencia.

Sevilla coach Sanchez Flores has been impressed with the player’s attitude in training, insisting that he has been extraordinary.

The 59-year-old further took time to insist that Veliz has appeared hungry and has done everything that has so far been asked of him.

“Alejo Veliz has trained in an extraordinary way this week”, Sanchez Flores was quoted as saying by football.london.

“He is tremendously hungry and does everything we ask of him.”

Veliz moved to London in August last year but found it hard to cement his place in Ange Postecoglou’s team.

He featured in parts in eight Premier League games in the first half of the season before leaving on loan in search of regular first-team action.

Tottenham continue to rate him and will be looking to see him clock up regular minutes in Spain.
