Arsenal and Chelsea-linked winger Nico Williams remains a target for Barcelona, but they have to clear several financial hurdles before they can try and sign him in the summer.

The Athletic Bilbao winger recently signed a new contract with the club but he has continued to be linked with a move away from them.

He has a €50m release clause in his contract and Williams has several suitors in the Premier League, where Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping tabs on him.

The two London clubs are plotting to try and snare him away from Bilbao in the summer transfer window.

However, according to Catalan daily Sport, Williams has continued to remain a big target for Barcelona.

The Catalan giants are big admirers of the Spaniard and are interested in signing the winger.

They have continued to remain in touch with his entourage and are aware that Williams would be interested in a move to Catalunya.

However, Barcelona are aware of the financial hurdles they will have to clear before they can sign the winger.

They will have to bring in money through player sales and sponsorship revenue to have any hope of signing the Bilbao star.
