Tottenham Hotspur are exploring the possibility of making a move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, but convincing the Cherries could prove to be difficult, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs are in the market for a striker, who can add to Ange Postecoglou’s attacking options in the final third.

The club have been focused on offloading players, but they are now switching their focus to incomings.

Tottenham have Solanke on their radar and they have started to explore a move to sign him from Bournemouth.

The 26-year-old was in impressive goalscoring form for Bournemouth last season and finished the campaign with 21 goals in 42 matches overall.

Given that Solanke is a key part of manager Andoni Iraola’s plans for next season, the Cherries will not want to lose him.

The north London side though are looking at a possible deal to take Solanke from the south coast.

Tottenham have substantial room on the wage bill after offloading a number of players this summer.
