One of Portsmouth’s stars is poised for a move abroad with an interested club close to an agreement to sign him.

Pompey are looking to do good business in this month’s transfer window as they aim to back John Mousinho and inject new life into their inconsistent Championship campaign.

Mousinho’s side have a break from league action this week when they take on Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup, giving them time to get new faces ready for the Championship trip to Blackburn Rovers.

They could though be without one of their attackers in the shape of Elias Sorensen, who has made 12 appearances in the league for Pompey this term.

According to Norwegian outlet Nettavisen, Norwegian side Valerenga are close to striking a deal with Portsmouth for the Dane.

They are expected to find an agreement with Pompey to do the deal this month.

The Norwegian outfit have been looking for attacking reinforcements and feel the 25-year-old fits the bill.

He arrived at Portsmouth last summer and penned a three-year deal at Fratton Park, but has had a limited impact.
