Rangers are set to confirm the signing of Moroccan hitman Hamza Igamane within the next few hours with the deal done.

The Gers have been drawn towards the Moroccan as an option after their scouts spotted him and are willing to take the risk that he can adapt to the Scottish game.

They have worked on the transfer and are now in a place where they can push it over the line.

Rangers have a total agreement with Igamane’s club side FAR Rabat, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, and the deal will be confirmed in the next few hours.

The Gers will be paying around €2m plus bonuses to take Igamane to Ibrox.

Igamane has an agreement on personal terms with Rangers and has also been given his visa to make the move.

Gers boss Philippe Clement will put Igamane through his paces in pre-season and the onus will be on the Moroccan to show he deserves a chance in the side.

Igamane, 21, found the back of the net seven times in the Moroccan top flight over the course of last season.
