Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is being ‘discussed’ at European heavyweights Bayern Munich.

The Bavarians are hunting for a new manager after making the decision to part ways with Thomas Tuchel when the season ends.

They wanted to snap up Xabi Alonso, but the Spaniard snubbed their approaches to remain at Bayer Leverkusen.

Austria coach Ralf Rangnick was then targeted, but he is keen to stay on as national team boss.

Now, according to German daily Bild, Ten Hag is being ‘discussed’ at Bayern Munich.

The Dutchman is coming under pressure at Manchester United and it is by no means certain the Red Devils will continue with him into next season.

A move to take charge of European heavyweights Bayern Munich could appeal to Ten Hag.

He also knows the club well, having had a stint in charge of their second team.

Ten Hag has also been linked with a return to former club Ajax, but it is claimed the Dutch side are growing pessimistic about the chances of that happening.

Nevertheless, despite his struggles at Old Trafford, Ten Hag’s stock in Europe remains high.
