Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that his side did indeed receive an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris earlier this summer.

Andre Villas-Boas’ men are thought to have slapped in a bid of €15M for the France number 1, which Les Gones quickly rejected, having placed an asking price of €20M on the shot-stopper’s head.

Now, with the transfer window clock ticking down, it is looking likely that Lloris will spend the season at the Stade Gerland.

"This year there was an offer from Tottenham, which was quickly rejected", Aulas told French radio station RMC.

And the Lyon supremo insisted that, if his valuation of Lloris is not met, then the goalkeeper will remain at the club.

"If he wants to leave, let’s look at the proposals, but they must be consistent with what we want.

"If they are not, then he will not leave."

Lloris is rated as the finest goalkeeper in Ligue 1 and was also in impressive form at Euro 2012 with France.

He is believed to want to test himself in the English Premier League, but may have to wait a while longer to do so.
