Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos has emerged as a target for AC Milan this summer, with the Brazilian ‘one of the most liked names within the Milan board’.

The Rossoneri are keen to reinforce their defence over the course of the approaching summer transfer window and want a substantial and experienced figure to do that.

Their eyes have been drawn to the Premier League and Unai Emery’s Aston Villa side for an option.

Carlos, 31, is the man that AC Milan are keen on and the defender is, according to Spanish daily AS, ‘one of the most liked names within the Milan board’

It is anticipated that the deal will not be an easy one for AC Milan to do however and ‘first conversations have not yet taken place’.

The Rossoneri are expected to change that soon and see if they can do a deal with Aston Villa for Carlos.

It is unclear how willing to do business Aston Villa will be, but moving to AC Milan could be something which appeals to the defender.

Carlos was snapped up from Spanish giants Sevilla by Aston Villa in the summer of 2022, costing around the £26m mark.
