Striker Demba Ba could be looking for the Newcastle United exit door if he is not satisfied with the way he is used in future, his agent has claimed.

Ba was left on the bench for the Magpies’ Premier League clash at Everton on Monday night, but came off the bench to score twice in the 2-2 draw and rescue a point for Alan Pardew’s men.

But the 27-year-old was not happy to have been left warming the bench at the start of the match at Goodison Park and his agent, Alex Gontran, has now claimed that the striker would be prepared to consider his position at St. James’ Park if he is not an automatic starter.

"Since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, Demba doesn’t understand the management", Gontran told the BBC.

"If he continues to be a substitute all season, we’ll look at other solutions", he added.

Gontran was keen to stress though that at present Ba is pleased to be at Newcastle and feels at home with the Magpies.

"Demba is happy at Newcastle. He is playing in the Premier League, with lot of fellow French speakers and he loves the club’s supporters.

"He would like to start every game but he respects the choice of the coach, even if he does not always understand or agree."

Ba joined Newcastle in the summer of 2011 after a spell with fellow English club West Ham. He penned a three-year deal upon his arrival.
