Borussia Monchengladbach could loan out forward Luuk de Jong in January as they seek to secure more minutes on the pitch for the Dutchman.
De Jong was Gladbach's club-record purchase when he arrived at Borussia-Park in the summer of 2012 from FC Twente. The Bundesliga club were successful in seeing off interest from Newcastle United in a very well-publicised transfer race.
But De Jong is struggling to hit the heights and so far this season has failed to start in a single Bundesliga game, clocking up just 67 minutes of German top flight football from the bench.
And Gladbach are eyeing loaning the 23-year-old out.

“[Coach Lucien] Favre has from the beginning had less than 100 per cent confidence in the way De Jong fills the striker position", said Gladbach director Hans Meyer to the Rheinische Post.
“I think we will find a solution.
“Possibly by Christmas we will loan Luuk, but certainly not to a direct competitor."
De Jong cost Gladbach €12m to sign from Twente.
