Disaffection with Juventus' transfer policy, specifically over a potential sale of Arturo Vidal and the failure to sign Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, contributed towards Antonio Conte's resignation this evening, according to Spanish daily AS.
Conte has shocked the Italian champions by handing in his resignation, despite having led Juventus to the last three consecutive Serie A titles.
Juventus only started pre-season training yesterday, but Conte has blown their plans for the new campaign apart with his resignation bombshell.
Conte is believed to have been unhappy with the club's transfer policy, which saw Juventus miss out on Sanchez, the Barcelona forward joining Arsenal last week.
Conte was also keen for Juventus to sign Juan Cuadrado, from Fiorentina, and Angel di Maria, from Real Madrid. But neither look poised to join the Italian champions this summer.

The former midfielder is believed to have been concerned too about losing Arturo Vidal.
Vidal, who has driven the Juventus midfield under Conte, is wanted by Manchester United and the Italian champions are thought to be open to selling him for between €40m and €50m.
Early front-runners to replace Conte are former Galatasaray and Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini and ex-AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri.
