Celtic manager Ronny Deila has revealed that the Hoops are busy scouting players to potentially sign them for the upcoming season, however, he added that keeping existing players remains key.
Deila arrived at Celtic Park at the start of the current season following the departure of Neil Lennon and in his inaugural campaign with the Scottish giants the Norwegian is on course to finish the season with a historic domestic treble.
The Bhoys won the Scottish League Cup last month and are strongly positioned to win the Scottish FA Cup and the Premiership this term.
Not resting on his success in his first season at Celtic Park, the 39-year-old has revealed that the club are actively scouting players for the future.
“We are working now all the time [on scouting players]”, he said at a press conference.

“We have to use April, May to watch players and our scouting network is doing a very good job now getting out names in positions we want to have and we just need to scout them and watch them as much as we can do and talk with them to see if they are the right type for Celtic.”
When asked explicitly if Hearts captain Danny Wilson is on Celtic’s radar, Deila acknowledged that the Hoops are indeed keeping an eye on him, but added that nothing serious has resulted so far.
“Danny Wilson is one of many names we are taking about but there is nothing serious, he is a good player.”
However, he said that Iranian winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh is not someone that they are keen on.
“I haven't seen him, he is news for me.”
Highlighting Celtic’s recruitment strategy, Deila said that they are keen on keeping their existing players and then looking to sign those who can strengthen the team.
“It is the same strategy as we had before it’s about keeping the players first because consistency is everything and then to add what we need and we have different options we are looking at in different positions so we will see.
“We have to pick players that can make us better that's the most important thing or young players that can get to that level.”
