Besiktas president Fikret Orman arrived in London this morning to negotiate a transfer for Chelsea striker Loic Remy, it has been claimed.
The 28-year-old French forward joined the Blues from Queens Park Rangers last summer but remained on the fringes of the starting eleven at Stamford Bridge.
Though Diego Costa’s injury problems presented him with an opportunity to stake his claim in the starting eleven, his own fitness issues also played a role in him failing to settle down at Chelsea.
Though he did score seven league goals and won the Premier League with Jose Mourinho’s men, Remy made just eight appearances from the starting eleven in the league.
Besiktas are keen to sign the forward this summer and according to Turkish outlet Haber1903, their president arrived in London today to negotiate a transfer for Remy.

The Turkish giants are confident of luring him away from London this summer with the promise of more first team football and are said to be bullish about their chances of signing the Frenchman from Chelsea.
With the European Championship on the horizon, the 28-year-old is keen to cement his spot in the French squad and is in need of more minutes on the pitch to achieve his goal.
The arrival of Radamel Falcao at Stamford Bridge is expected to further limit Remy’s opportunities next season and it could finally trigger his departure from Stamford Bridge.
