Chelsea loanee Mario Pasalic has revealed that he is currently back at the club to recuperate from a back injury.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who joined Monaco on a season-long loan deal in the summer, has been sidelined since suffering the injury towards the end of February.
Pasalic underwent treatment at Monaco, but it was not helpful, and hence he decided to return to Chelsea to cure the problem under the supervision of the Blues’ medical staff.
And the Croatia international, who has thus far scored seven goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for Monaco, explained that he was pleased with his performance in the first half of the season for the French outfit.
“First half of the season was more or less okay, it was good and I was satisfied”, he told Chelsea TV.

“But then in the second half of the season I started to feel pain in my back and I underwent treatment for a month there but it wasn’t helpful so I decided to come here and resolve the problem under the supervision of the medical staff of Chelsea.”
Pasalic, who spent the 2014/15 campaign on loan at Elche, went on to add that playing in Ligue 1 is different to featuring in La Liga.
“In the Spanish league it’s more technical football and in France we have stronger players so it’s different”, he continued.
Pasalic, who joined Chelsea from Hajduk Split in 2014, is yet to make an appearance for the Premier League champions.
