Loic Remy was prepared to join Wolverhampton Wanderers from Chelsea, but had already committed to sign for Las Palmas, it has been claimed.
The French striker was looking for a way out of Stamford Bridge on deadline day after becoming surplus to requirements at the English champions.
Wolves did make a late effort on deadline day to sign Remy from the Blues, according to former Express & Star journalist Tim Nash, but no deal happened.
It is claimed that Remy was prepared to move to Wolves, however he had already agreed to move to La Liga with Las Palmas.
The Canary Island club have not yet confirmed the arrival of Remy, but have Friday to do so as the transfer window in Spain is open until this evening.

It has been claimed in some quarters that PSV had a rethink and decided they could not afford to let Locadia go.
Other claims centre around the money demanded by the striker's agent and Locadia's signing on fee, which Wolves would not meet.
